Shot sizes, and when to use each
Tighter shot, more emotion. Wider shot, more context. Here are the six shot sizes and the simple habit that instantly makes a video look more produced.

The whole game in one line
Tighter shot, more emotion. Wider shot, more context. Every shot size is a trade-off between where we are and how we feel.
The six you need
Extreme wide: where are we. Wide: who's here and what's happening. Medium: conversations. Medium close-up: talking heads, the bread and butter of personal brand content. Close-up: make them feel it. Extreme close-up: drama and detail, hands, eyes, textures.
Use at least three in every video
Cut between three or more shot sizes and your video instantly looks more produced, even if you shot it on a phone. It also gives your editor options and hides jump cuts. Write the sizes into your shot list before the shoot and you will never come home missing coverage.
